Who We Serve

Tu Organics Foundation Center focuses on supporting three key populations who face significant
barriers to education, employment, and self-reliance:

Survivors of Domestic Violence

We provide safe, trauma-informed cosmetology training and business mentorship to women rebuilding their lives. Our scholarships, flexible schedules, and community partnerships ensure that survivors can gain state licensure, financial independence, and arenewed sense of self-worth.

Survivors of Human Trafficking

Our program supports women emerging from exploitation by offering trauma-informed career training, peer mentorship, and access to wraparound services. We help survivors reclaim their identity, pursue education, and access pathways to employment or entrepreneurship in a judgment-free environment.

Re-Entry After Incarceration

For individuals re-entering society after incarceration, Tu Organics Foundation offers career-focused education, state license navigation, and small business training. We work with local re-entry programs and parole offices to provide opportunity instead of recidivism—empowering participants to build futures beyond their pasts.By investing in education, self-worth, and practical skills, Tu Organics Foundation transforms lives, and entire communities, one career at a time.

The Founder’s Purpose

By housing entrepreneurship education and AI training within the Tu Organics Foundation Center, the Foundation creates a clear pathway from learning → earning → ownership. Participants are supported not only in gaining skills, but in applying them to real economic outcomes.

Core Training Programs at the Center

ABCs of Starting a Salon Business

This foundational entrepreneurship program guides participants through the essential building blocks of launching and sustaining a beauty business. Topics include: Business planning and licensing basics Salon startup costs, pricing, and budgeting Branding, marketing, and client retention Legal structures and compliance Pathways to self-employment and salon ownership This program is designed to demystify business ownership and empower participants to confidently transition from technician to entrepreneur.

AI Training for Small Business & Beauty Professionals

The Center’s AI training introduces participants to accessible, ethical, and practical uses of artificial intelligence to improve productivity and income potential. Training focuses on: Using AI for marketing, content creation, and branding Automating administrative tasks and client communication Improving customer experience and business efficiency Understanding AI tools relevant to small businesses and creatives This program ensures participants are equipped with modern, future-ready skills that increase competitiveness in today’s digital economy.

Rewriting the Narrative

For those who’ve been incarcerated or marginalized, Mariatu’s mission is to say: “You are not your past.” Her foundation helps people reclaim their future through entrepreneurship and mentorship.
